The Njera child headed household family will always have a place in my heart. This family's mother and father passed away 5 years ago and so the two eldest sisters have been raising themselves and their two younger siblings on their own. The Passion Center partners with families like them to provide them with monthly food packages, helping them repair their houses, and paying for their school fees. Despite speaking through a translator, this family welcomed me as one of their own and I'll always cherish the few hours we spent together.
What blows me away about the second and third picture is that after we visited a few other child headed households, my partner and I came back to find that they had prepared lunch for us in the time we were gone! When a family like this made up of young adults that is struggling to get by makes sacrifices to make lunch for you, it truly humbles you to the dirt. I look forward to fellowshipping with this family again soon.
Romans 13:8-10 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."
